Jason Richards, OTR/L, CHT

Jason RichardsJason obtained his BS in Occupational Therapy in April 2003 from Western Michigan University. He has worked for OSF St James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, IL for 8 years. He obtained his Certified Hand Therapist designation in November 2011 which is one of the most prestigious designations in the industry for treating upper extremity injuries such as shoulders, wrists, elbows, or hands. Jason has taken many classes on shoulder injuries including those presented by the Indiana Hand Institute and Wisconsin Hand Experience. He has extensive experience with rotator cuff injuries and has extensive experience with the application of thermal and electrical modalities including our fluido-therapy machine, electrical stimulation, and ultra sound. Jason’s clinical experiences were at Memorial Medical Center of West Michigan and Northern Michigan Hospital.

Jason is married with 3 kids. He played baseball in college and continues to pursue his love for the sport. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking with his family and makes frequent trips up to Michigan to enjoy the landscape.

Kim Rhoda, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Kim RhodaKim obtained a masters degree in occupational therapy at Colorado State University in 1992, and a bachelors in psychology at the University of Illinois in 1989. She has 20 years of diverse experience as an occupational therapist. She is a certified hand therapist with a background in treating clients with neurological injuries. Certified hand therapists specialize in treating clients with upper extremity injuries using the most advanced programs available. Injuries include fractures, sprains, and/or tendon injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, or hand. Typical diagnoses include impingement syndrome of the rotator cuff, tennis elbow syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, surgical repair of tendons of the wrist and hand. Kim has lectured on spinal cord injuries and on sports related injuries of the wrist and hand. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the Illinois Occupational Therapy Association. She has worked with Dr. Li for 8 years. She has also worked for OSF St Joseph Medical Center, TravelCare USA, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (our nation’s #1 ranked rehabilitation hospital). Her clinical internships were at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, Downey, CA; and at Community Rehab Services, Scottsdale, AZ.

Kim’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and 2 boys, boating, waterskiing, and fitting in some exercise to keep up with her family!

Ashley Behrens, COTA/L

Ashley BehrensAshley attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL where she obtained her Associates degree in Applied Sciences as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She worked at a skilled nursing facility for 4 ½ years gaining experience in cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and orthopedic rehabilitation. She lives in LeRoy with her husband and two kids. She loves spending time with her family and friends, along with watching football games and enjoying outdoor activities.
